Warehouse Assistant

Choice Books is looking for a person with a heart to help prepare wholesome, inspirational books for placement in everyday shopping places. The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for and involved in the functions related to book inventory and warehousing that happen at the district level.  They are responsible to help the Manager in maintening and organizating the warehouse and inventory to facilitate smooth flow of incoming and outgoing books.  If you are a college student, are semi-retired, or simply looking for a way to supplement your income, this position may be for you.

Compensation:

• $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
• 30 hours per week
• Part-time (We do not work weekends)

Qualifications:

• Connection with the faith-based aspect of the organization
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to lift 25-50lbs regularly, bend, stoop, push, pull, climb step ladder, work on feet continuously.
• Organization and cleaning skills
• Ability to follow directions, take initiative, and problem solve
• Flexibiity to work with other staff
• Flexible schedule

Responsibilities:

• Open cases of books, print pricing labels and apply to books
• Place books in orderly fashion on shelves for Reps to take
• Keep warehouse organized and clean
• Assist Warehouse Manager with any assigned tasks
• May involve receiving shipments
